Final Result: Supervillain Jinx
- Breakdown -
I created the initial pitch deck and participated in multiple early-stage meetings,
presenting with the deck and helping to define the final visual style and effects direction.
After that, I was mainly responsible for the visual packaging of the idle and animations.

- Visual Exploration -
Other characters have appeared in this skin series before. While preparing Jinx’s version,
I mainly adjusted the effects used in previous skins as an example for Jinx, I wanted the comic style to be more pronounced,
with more exaggerated effects and stronger visual contrast.

- Idle 01 -
In the past, none of our skin idle animations had ever used a Motion Parallax effect like this—
where the character moves forward while staying in place, and the background shifts backward.
I gathered extensive references and, after confirming its feasibility with the post-production team, created the first draft:

As you can see, it is very close to the final result.
Thanks to the strong support from the environment team, animation team, and TA, my proposal was successfully implemented.

- Idle 02 -
After completing Idle 01, I moved on to designing Idle 02.
My plan was to introduce comic panels and then transition into

My plan was to introduce comic panels and then transition into
Jinx standing up and breaking through the comic frame.
My initial idea was to reference the iconic poses from Arcane within the comic panels as a small Easter egg. However, the result ended up feeling too busy, so we switched to a solid-color background instead :(
These alternative exploration concepts for Idle 02 were not used in the final version.
- Little Cel Animation -
In the entry animation of the base form,
I added a small Easter egg—a little black cat getting startled.

- Others -
During the design exploration phase, I also drew a few non-project related ‘fan art’ pieces just to get a feel for the character.
These weren’t part of the production, but I really love Jinx, and drawing her makes me happy :)
Thank you for watching!
