01STORY
The story behind my English name: Christina.
When I was in elementary school, I met an ABC teaching assistant named Christina during a summer English class.
We spent a joyful summer together, at the time, I was quite introverted and rarely spoke to others. She guided me with warmth and positivity, and little by little, I became more open and outgoing. Meanwhile, she greatly influenced my decision to study in the US.
Before she returned to the US, my class asked everyone to choose an English name for yourself, and she gave me hers.
Since then, my English name has been Christina.

02 DESIGN APPROACH
From the beginning, I wanted to create a highly realistic environment.
This was partly because I am personally more comfortable with this style, but also because I believe it helps the audience feel more immersed in the story.

For the character design, since I was completing the project independently, I chose a simpler and more cartoon based style.
This allowed me to save a significant amount of production time. However, I decided to keep the facial features instead of simplifying them, because I believe facial expression is one of the most important ways to convey emotion.

03 ANIMATIC
In the first version of the animatic, the pacing felt very rushed in order to meet the original one minute project requirement.
After discussing it with the faculty, I was given permission to extend the thesis duration, which is why the final version is about two minutes.
Although it required more work, it clearly made the piece feel much more comfortable to watch.

04 BREAKDOWN
For sections like the opening and ending, where I needed to switch between multiple shots within the same scene, I used 3D modeling as a support tool. This helped reduce the workload while also keeping the scene visually consistent.
Below is a breakdown of how I approached and completed this process.
